We're Going Green
In the middle of 2008, VegasDJ.com began making efforts to become a green company. We feel that companies should be aware of their carbon footprint and it's effect on the environment, especially in today's economic climate. As fuel and energy costs rocket, companies need to reduce their power consumption in order to stay in business. Some may decide to just pass the extra costs onto their clients. We however, feel it makes more long term sense to reduce usage ourselves and keep our client's costs down. We have not felt the need to raise our prices in over two years and we do not see our prices going up any time soon.

Below is a partial list of things we are doing that will effect the environment.

  1. We have optimized the energy settings on our computers and shut them down at the end of the day.
  2. All hardware is plugged into power strips and can be shut down all at once.
  3. Peripherals like printers that are only used occasionally are unplugged until they are needed.
  4. Our hours of operation are during daylight hours.
  5. Lights are turned off when they are not needed..
  6. We keep files on computer instead of in file cabinets.
  7. We review documents onscreen instead of printing them.
  8. We send documents by email instead of printing them and sending them through US Mail.
  9. If we must print a document we only use recycled paper.
  10. Our DJs are now using LED lighting that consume less energy than incandescent light bulbs.
